'The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes' started life in 'The Strand' magazine in 1891, after a succesful first short story 'A StudyIn Scarlet' appeared in 'Beetons Christmas Annual' in 1887.
It is to a most modern format of media presentation, the PDF, that I have had to turn to, in order to bring to you the very first six 'Sherlock Holmes' stories as they appeared originally in 'The Strand' in 1891, these are scans of the original copies, from the brilliant mind and pen of physican Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, complete with original illustrations by Sidney Paget!
